-What is Xion Studios?-
Xion Studios is an amateur software development studio, owned by Paul "Crazy" Frazee. The small team focuses largely on game development, an entertaining platform to develope their skills upon. All of the members are students at various levels, and work in their free time. Most of that time is focused on "Xion", an opengl-powered 3d RTS engine.

-Who is Xion Studios?-
Alright, I will come straight with you. Xion Studios consists of a lone programmer, Paul Frazee - me. Everything on this site, the art, the webdesign, the projects, are the fruits of my endless toils. I am sixteen years old, a Junior in highschool. I plan to go to Texas ATM to be an electrical engineer. Along with programming, I sing and act in various school organizations (I am often principle parts in our musicals). I also enjoy sketching, though I would not consider that to be my forte`.

-What is Xion?-
Xion is Xion Studios' pet project - an opengl-powered 3d RTS engine. It is currently in version 0.0.5 (alpha 5), and sports the following nifty features:
  • Octree-enhanced frustum-culled terrain engine, with terrain generated randomly or via heightmaps
  • Infinite maps
  • Deformable terrain
  • Particle system, creatable in the PSEditor in conjunction with the ExEs script
  • Powerful user interface system, creatable in the UIEditor
  • Network engine framework
  • Dynamic input engine
Currently in progress is the mesh editor, with plans for a world editor immediately thereafter. For details of Xion's progress, read my dev journal, and constantly check back to the site for new media!

-Who Hosts Xion Studios?-
My gracious host, the Editing Archive, provides my hosting free of charge (under a special discount dubbed "friendship"). You can visit their excellent site at www.editingarchive.com for up-to-date news, free dev journals, a public ftp, and more! Their webhosting powa can be found at www.htmod.com. And be sure to check out their IRC server, irc.htmod.com:6667. I idle #htnet all the time!
